Kim is the principal at Thorhild Central School, a kindergarten to grade 12 school that is part of the Aspen View Public School Division in Alberta, Canada. Kim has been a school leader for the past ten years and educator for twenty-five years. She has a Masters Degree from the University of Calgary in Educational Research with a focus on Inclusion and Special Education. Kim started her teaching career in a self-contained special education classroom. Throughout her teaching career, Kim has had the opportunity to teach various subjects in Grades 1 through 11. Building inclusive learning environments, where everyone feels successful, has been the center of Kim’s professional practice. She believes that teamwork, collaboration, and partnerships are the cornerstone in building and fostering strong educational atmospheres.
