The overall goal of the series is to focus on advancing leadership excellence, and the challenges associated with leading through theoretical and practical guidance.

Attend the Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation workshop for system and school administrators. The provincial Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy deals with accountability and continuous professional growth and ensures that a teacher’s professional practice is under ongoing supervision. The Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy defines the process and the Teaching Quality Standard defines the competencies for professional practice.

This two-day workshop focuses on the principal’s critical role and the duties they must perform as outlined in the Education Act, the provincial Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy and the Leadership Quality Standard.

2025 Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation (TGSE) Workshop - Virtual
Welcome to Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation, a workshop for system and school administrators. The provincial Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy deals with accountability and continuous professional growth and ensures that a teacher’s professional practice is under ongoing supervision. When a teacher has a probationary contract or when informed by supervision data, the evaluation of a teacher will occur. The Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy defines the process and the Teaching Quality Standard defines the competencies for professional practice.

This workshop will be held virtually over four half-days in Spring 2025. The dates and times are:
  • Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 0900-1200
  • Friday, March 14, 2025, from 0900-1200
  • Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 0900-1200
  • Friday, April 4, 2025, from 0900-1200

The workshop will focus on the principal’s critical role and the duties they must perform as outlined in the Education Act, the provincial Teacher Growth, Supervision and Evaluation Policy and the Leadership Quality Standard.

Registration is free for active and associate ATA members and includes resource materials.

Please note the last day to cancel the registration is noon on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Any cancellations received after this date and time are subject to cover costs of $50 (including no-shows at the workshop).

For non-members, the cost is $200 plus GST.
